“Ok Chris, that’s all well and good…” I hear you say, ‘but I don’t have a billion subscribers!’. That’s fine, let’s come back down to earth and discuss how much an average channel makes.
Here’s a useful stat for you.
On average a YouTube channel can receive $0.18 per ad view. This equates to $3 – $5 per 1000 video views.
What this means is that you need a decent amount of views to start making money through ads.
Let’s run some more numbers.
A average size channel with a subscription of 3,000 subs, with 600 list videos would expect around 450 views per day.
That would result in an
- Estimated daily earning of between $0.66 – $1.11,
- Estimated monthly earnings between $20 – $33
- Projected yearly earnings between $242 – $404
That’s not much I hear you say. BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! This is only one form of income you can earn through YouTube. In fact it’s probably the least profitable of all the techniques.
